Introduction with Christophe Jauquet, author of Healthusiasm, speaker, health expert
Over the past decade, many publications on gender and health have revealed the extent to which the interaction between biological, socio-cultural and political factors is a key element in understanding health inequalities between women and men. The influence of gender taboos and prejudices on health is therefore a key determinant in understanding these inequalities. Endometriosis is a perfect example, as a disease that was ignored for a very long time, was only recognised as an organic pathology in the 1990s, and only became the subject of a national plan to inform the population and train doctors 20 years later, in 2019. Obstetrics, female oncology, women’s sexual health, gynaecology, women’s fertility, hormonal health – all these topics were neglected until very recently but have now seen the emergence of numerous technologies designed to improve women’s health and well-being while marking a change in mentalities
In terms of business generated, we are talking about a sector that concerns half of humanity and could be worth 50 billion dollars in 2024!
What are the next steps? What are the concrete impacts of eHealth solutions on women’s health? How can we study this astonishing growth that arouses so much enthusiasm?
To discuss these exciting topics, we have invited four exceptional women entrepreneurs who are each advocating that these solutions should provide new opportunities for women to take control of their health
In conclusion: Presentation of an eHealth solution
